We are very equal in the fact that we are all going to die, <br />But we can’t have death with dignity though and I don’t know why, <br />The enemy is ourselves because we are completely restricted, <br />Tell the injection-site types that we are not all drug addicted. <br /> <br />No plebiscites or binding referendums to get it right, <br />Little access to information so no constitutional fights, <br />And those with hidden agendas gave us abortion clinics, <br />Holocaust of unborn babies on your street and please, no cynics. <br /> <br />No propositions and no one heard of judicial review, <br />Keep listening because the next change comes in the evening news, <br />No proportional representation in first past the post, <br />But our politicians can stand in parliament and boast.<br /><br />James Bredin<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/equal-in-death-may-17th-2011/
