There is one person in the world today <br />Whose love and devotion I can claim, <br />And though I have disappointed you <br />I know that your love for me is the same. <br /> <br />Your genuine love - who would dare <br />To determine or measure what it's worth <br />For many others to know my love <br />Of you who gave me birth. <br /> <br />You enabled me to weather the storm <br />When I recklessly lost my way. <br />Your guidance and direction led me on <br />A path of righteousness so I wouldn't go astray. <br /> <br />You were the formidable pillar I clung to <br />In times of my frustration and despair, <br />And never failed to respond to my call, <br />Despite the sins and faults I bear. <br /> <br />You protected me from the rigors of life <br />That at times were overbearing to me, <br />Without your love and motherly guidance, <br />Today, I know not what I would be. <br /> <br />Despite the personal and worldly problems <br />Confronting my life that never seem to flee, <br />I truly know within the depth of my heart <br />I will always bear an everlasting appreciation of thee. <br />Thank you - Mom.<br /><br />Joseph T.
