Naked were the lifeless tree's. <br />Once stood over the pasture and mead. <br />Palpable ice in my veins, <br />Chilled by the grip of it's reign. <br />Release these chains, <br />Consecrate my pain. <br />Slice after slice, <br />I feel the life. <br />Warm, slipping away, <br />Immersed in red. <br />The drain of pain, <br />No longer the same. <br />The chain is broken.<br /><br />Barry A.
