Complex words in a poem <br />Its not that they are not in my vocabulary <br />Too many complex words are like hurdles in a race, <br />Barriers to understanding which slows readers down <br /> <br />Too many complex words are hard to understand and <br />Makes the poem not as grand <br />Words like superior and inferior <br />Just deferrer the poems meaning <br /> <br />The poem becomes more of a study or discussion <br />Unpremeditated poems are the best <br />One without thought and just feeling <br />Poems should not just be esoteric <br /> <br />It’s important to write veracious poems in such a way <br />So people can understand it all <br />And for some one who is so intelligent <br />To ask myself to write a complex poem and think I am not capable <br />They are just an asinine person!<br /><br />STEPHANIE MCGRATH<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/complex-words-in-a-poem/
