27th July- a British milestone <br />Welcoming two hundred and four countries <br />Through a parade of emotions, no fears, <br />Sounds of music and loads of cheers! <br /> <br />The Olympic Village vibrating <br />Glorious noises breathtaking <br />Thousands of volunteers on the show <br />Efforts crowned by a human glow! <br /> <br />The Stadium is attentive now <br />To a variety of sporting players <br />All struggling for their performance <br />Years of training, hard work, endurance. <br /> <br />From Rowing, Cycling, Swimming <br />To Gymnastics, Fencing, Archery <br />They're pushing hard, hopefully <br />For their attempt to winning... <br /> <br />At famous, popular British venues <br />Crowds rejoice over a victory <br />Others wipe tears painfully <br />Still others perform in their especial way <br />Superhumans they are <br />Unique souls they will stay!<br /><br />Maria C.
