The beautiful castle which was purchased for millions, <br />The extravagant wedding that was paid in cash, <br />The exotic flowers that were brought from Lyons, <br />The exquisite fragrance that was part of the bash, <br />The clarity and the zest of the diamond’s ring, <br />At the end of the journey, they all mean nothing. <br />What are left are the gossips and echoes of the airways. <br />After a few years, everything will fall in decay: <br />The moon will keep her beauty, the small bay <br />Will be wider, more fish will flow down the rivers, <br />The sun will not stop sending the radiant rays on earth, <br />The wind will keep on blowing the horns and the clarinets, <br />Some lucky peasants will continue admiring the waves and the surfs, <br />And the mountains will witness the annihilation of the sects. <br />Nothing means nothing; things come and go, <br />Like April showers; like the deluge of the snow.<br /><br />Hebert Logerie<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/nothing-means-nothing/
