On this beautiful summer morning <br />skies are a delicate blue and <br />lime green shrubs lend a backcloth <br />for the roses' deep crimson hue. <br /> <br />Floral colours blend together <br />shining in the sunlight glow <br />Oh this is the morning of mornings <br />I recall from 'the long ago'. <br /> <br />A poetic moment comes o'er me <br />as songbirds greet a new day. <br />I write my verse on 'Birds of the Air' <br />before they flutter away. <br /> <br />Then I gaze at the picture before me <br />and looking toward heaven, I pray <br />whispering words of thankfulness <br />for the glory of Nature's way.<br /><br />Joyce Hemsley<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/summer-glory/
