I was walking through morning mist, in a forest not so dense,
When I came across a wonderful site, that didn't make any sense.
I saw movement all around, yet there was not a soul to be seen,
Unless of course I count the trees that were dancing, oh so pristine

Limbs reaching out like massive arms, expressing joy and amusement,
Roots rustling beneath the ground, struggling to increase their movement
Dressed in moss with sculptured trunks, their beauty was amazing,
And years from now when I tell this tale, their spirits I will be praising.

Accosted by sapling tart, I was twirled from tree to tree,
I became part of the festival, and my spirit was set free,
I had only happy thoughts, and I heart was set afire,
Dancing with these lovely trees was now my only desire.

Dancing trees in the mist, natures beauty alive and free,
Truly incredible vision that the entire world should see.
Dancing trees, dancing trees, raise your arms and rejoice,
Let the world see your dance, let them hear your inner voice.

Rik Bertrand

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dancing-trees-3/
