You said 'my sister is beautiful' <br />As if to say 'Far more beautiful than me' <br />And saying so you brushed away <br />The true sentiment that came from me <br /> <br />I've heard it often said <br />More true as I grow older <br />That beauty is in the eye of the beholder <br />Realize, all living beauty fades away 'till dead <br /> <br />Why I wonder does it bother me <br />Your reacton, what you said <br />I wonder what is in your head <br />What injuries you mush have been fed <br /> <br />It hurts in life to compare <br />With a sister or a brother <br />Such a thing must hurt a mother and feel unfair <br />Because she loves each child like no other <br /> <br />If God created each a certain way <br />He must have had a reason <br />If everyone was identically molded in clay <br />We'd be perpetually trapped in the same season <br /> <br />I'm glad you're just the way you are <br />a sweet friend far away <br />8000 miles by boat or plane and car <br />Knowing of you brightens each day <br /> <br />If beauty is measured in God's grace <br />It seems he's sent many gifts your way <br />A sound mind, a wonderful heart, and rosey face <br />And many more blessings upon your tray <br /> <br />Let's not discuss our flaws today <br />Or else we each might in shyness hide away <br />Please believe me when I say <br />I find you beautiful, in my own way <br /> <br />I've lived just long enough to know <br />that beauty is more than just pretty face <br />And your true beauty is felt and does show <br />like a rainbow reflected in your caring grace<br /><br />JAMES T.
