The most unusual thing you'll ever see <br />On the road in the land of dragons <br />Is a little black kitten riding along <br />In Harley the dragon’s wagon. <br />The little black kitty is special you see <br />For he’s missing his two back feet. <br />Harley the dragon found him that way <br />All by himself in a heap. <br />Harley felt sorry for the poor little kitty <br />So he brought him home to his lair <br />Knowing his little furry friend <br />Needed a friend who cared. <br />The kitty grew stronger every day <br />Much to Harley’s delight <br />But the little black cat was unable to walk <br />And Harley felt that wasn't right. <br />One day Harley saw the pie man in town <br />With a load of pies on his wagon <br />He asked the man if he knew how <br />To build a wagon for a dragon. <br />They worked together day after day <br />And when the wagon was done <br />Harley had learned good things can happen <br />When friends pull together as one. <br />He brought the wagon to his den <br />And placed the black kitty inside <br />The kitty smiled from ear to ear <br />As he went for his very first ride. <br />Now Harley takes kitty wherever he goes <br />Round every curve and bend <br />And the dragon, and the little black cat <br />Are the very best of friends.<br /><br />Nancy Crossman<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/harley-s-dragon-wagon/
