I feel the shadows closing in, so I see <br />Their cold embrace is so dear to me <br />This love they hold only for thee <br />A feeling I thought lost within my entity <br /> <br />I hear the shadows calling out my name <br />Their secrets only revealed within the pain <br />This rippled window crafted just for me <br />A mirror to a different person to be <br /> <br />I let the shadows follow behind <br />The darkness now consuming my mind <br />As pain and hurt ambush my chi <br />A shadow stands where once was me <br /> <br />When the day's dreamt away by the bye <br />I stand tall, and stare at the sky <br />Dark darkness comes closer as it may <br />Alone now and always I stand and stay <br /> <br />I feel the winter bite once more, <br />As it steadily grows colder and sore <br />The wind calls out to the night to say <br />Let the icy dark shadows out to play <br /> <br />As the treetops sweep the inky black ceiling <br />Once more closer to my dark way feeling <br />Walking upon my dark, dark dream just so <br />Into the deep depths where none dare go <br /> <br />Into the darkness of the night's path <br />This monster that's me wreaks his wrath <br />The place where all live in fear <br />On those who dare venture here <br /> <br />The sky darkens, and I stare up at the moon <br />I can only remember I have to leave here soon <br />I knew I could not stay here for too long <br />But, from where I stand, nothing feels wrong <br /> <br />Awaken into the dream I don't want to face <br />It's not safe here in this unworldly place <br />My time has come for me to depart from here <br />And fall into the safe embrace of all that I fear<br /><br />DEEP DARK SOUL POET<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/into-the-darkness-again/
