'Look mommy, look at me' <br /> <br />She twirls around, giggling <br /> <br />as her bright pink skirt flies <br /> <br />around her waist <br /> <br />She has pink and white flowers <br /> <br />in her golden brown hair; <br /> <br />a halo for the angel that she is <br /> <br />With blue eyes sparkling, <br /> <br />she dances around the store; <br /> <br />twirling on her tiptoes <br /> <br />like a little ballerina <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />'Mommy, look at me, I can fly' <br /> <br />she sings into the air <br /> <br />as she floats across the room <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Her mother finally looks up, <br /> <br />and watches her dance, <br /> <br />hears her laughter bubbling <br /> <br />like an endless brook <br /> <br />She scoops up <br /> <br />her ballerina girl in the circle of her arms <br /> <br />and swings her into the air, <br /> <br />around and around they go <br /> <br />Laughing and giggling, <br /> <br />they fall down in a heap, <br /> <br />faces flushed and eyes aglow <br /> <br />I couldn't have imagined <br /> <br />a more beautiful sight <br /> <br />this Monday morning<br /><br />Priya Patel<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/little-ballerina-2/
