I am so sick of political correctness. <br />They put rusty nails right through my tongue. <br />I can no longer speak my mind's thoughts <br />As I could when I was so very young! <br /> <br />Washington has sissified this nation. <br />A man can no longer be an honest man! <br />For a word fitly spoken no longer applies, <br />To our youth who need to hear a TRUE plan! <br /> <br />The word “Freedom” is spoken of loftily, <br />And brings tears to many of our sad eyes. <br />But our words today have become imprisoned, <br />By liberals who wrongfully think they are wise! <br /> <br />Premier Khrushchev said we would be buried, <br />And a shot toward us will be never heard. <br />For we are just burying our own selves, <br />By imprisoning our true spoken words! <br /> <br />If one will yell out lies loudly enough, <br />From the very steps of Independence Hall, <br />And no one ever tries to contradict him, <br />His fame rallies others to his call! <br /> <br />So instead we have chained up the very truth <br />Which could have saved each and every youth, <br />From a belief system centered on vicious lies <br />While we older ones can only watch and cry! <br /> <br />In my youth I didn’t worry about such things, <br />Or the Freedom blood that had been shed. <br />Political correctness did not exist back then, <br />And we knew not of it’s coming evil dread!<br /><br />Robert Edgar Burns<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/political-correctness-2/
