The lighthouse stood upon a rock, <br />Christened in the night; <br />It stands for deep integrity, <br />Its light so shining bright. <br />It guides the sailors to the harbor, <br />Being their eternal guide; <br />It has the light of salvation, <br />With which there's not to chide. <br />Jesus blessed the dear lighthouse, <br />Making it without pride, <br />Christ had blessed His servant, <br />Evil has been denied. <br />The lighthouse stands upon the rock, <br />Looking out so gracefully, <br />It has no worry nor regret, <br />It's known for bravery. <br />The lighthouse guides everyone with trouble, <br />Knowing right from wrong, <br />It guides them back to the path, <br />Even though their journey may be long. <br />The lost follow the light, <br />The light that leads to the path, <br />The path that is the righteous road, <br />That leads away from Satan's wrath. <br />The light is the symbol of light, <br />As Christ is known as the Way, <br />It is Christ's eternal symbol, <br />Guiding followers to the bay. <br />The lighthouse stands on that rock, <br />Ever so brave and strong, <br />Its integrity is very noble, <br />Guiding all of the throng. <br />Yet the lighthouse is different, <br />‘Tis ever so meek, <br />It guides everyone who needs council, <br />To the holy peak.<br /><br />Justin Reamer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-lighthouse-29/
