Someday I will travel into a distant land <br />and unearthed my roots as I go <br />I will travel as fast as daylight permit <br />And at night I will listen carefully to <br /> <br />The whispering of the winds in my ears <br />And as sun rises I will plant my tree <br />On a new soil, with fond memories <br />I will remember the land I left behind <br /> <br />The birds will be my best friends <br />For they know how to lighten my mood <br />When I feel home sick and bored <br />Of course I will write about the season too <br /> <br />I will tell stories of the women in the flower <br />fields and the men with their box truck <br />and straw hat with each of them wearing <br />A funny grin and mischievous smile <br /> <br />I will make a lullaby about pretty girls <br />and their flawless gown, boys on the <br />back of horses with oversized cowboy hat <br />I wouldn't forget the whispering palms <br /> <br />And the green hillside with a handful of <br />Lilies in the landscape <br />I'd tell all I have seen here, in this new land <br />I will tell all but one I will keep as secret<br /><br />Matthias Pantaleon<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/no-goodbye-3/
