Another day, another struggle <br />Trying to appear happy <br />I put on my mask <br />So that it may help me brave the day <br /> <br />I know there's many who have had it worse than I <br />But that doesn't mean I can easily say goodbye <br />To the pain inside that wont go away <br />Behind my eyes it is here to stay <br /> <br />Trapped within my mind <br />I need to escape <br />From the voice within <br />That wont go away <br /> <br />I feel so alone <br />Disconnected, cut off <br /> <br />A silent cry for help that nobody hears <br />Alone with my thoughts no one else cares <br /> <br />I haven't a reason to be feeling this way <br />Others tell me not to worry <br />That I should smile more, it will be ok <br />But snapping out of this state that I'm in <br />Will take more than just a grin <br /> <br />For the problems that are in my life <br />Are not physical things you can find <br />They do not exist as entities <br />Instead my worst enemy is me.<br /><br />Han Hitchings<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-m-my-own-worst-enemy/
