Well he started to believe, <br />this thing that he had started, <br />he could really win. <br />His friends and acquaintances, <br />they gave him so much support. <br />They made him feel for certain, <br />he could reach the goal he sought. <br />But there were so many others, <br />that wanted just the same. <br />And it’s a rule you see, <br />only one can win the game. <br />So if you have some venture, <br />that you think you really ought. <br />Always do remember, <br />this world is just for sport. <br />And whilst intent on winning, <br />it is a fact you see. <br />There only is one winner, <br />and I’d prefer if it was me.<br /><br />David Taylor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/just-for-sport/
