You simply <br />Can't live a happy life <br />With a chip on your shoulder. <br />Or with beliefs that someone owes you... <br />Because you've gone 'without' <br />As you grew older! <br />Many folks struggle, <br />Just to be thankful to be alive. <br />While other ones criticize, <br />All those with a 9 to 5! <br />You simply can't live a happy life... <br />With most of it spent <br />Hustling in 'jive'! <br />Wanting to live a happy life deserved, <br />Means to sacrifice the time you now waste... <br />Sitting on your butt, <br />Thinking you have reasons to be served! <br />And getting up to leave your playground <br />Of lies... <br />With your head buried in sand. <br />Believing someone will hear your cries. <br />You have to work! <br />Sometimes unappreciated for whatever it is you do! <br />Sometimes thick in mud... <br />Sweating your worth eating much dirt! <br />Whatever needs to happen 'for you' <br />You need to make it happen 'for you' first!<br /><br />Lawrence S.
