Why can't I undo my habits? <br />Those that most enjoy my time? <br />I'd like to nab each one I've got <br />And leave it with a promise <br />To be left finally behind! <br /> <br />Why can't I undo temptations, <br />That fence me in like a fort I protect? <br />I deny suspecting glances... <br />Those that catch me in the midst of neglect! <br /> <br />And IF I should give up all that teased, <br />I say to myself I will not be pleased! <br />And I grab hold to my habits <br />Since doing this comes with such ease!<br /><br />Lawrence S.
