An angel went walking on a stormy night. <br />All around him there was an aura of light. <br />He watched all the people that were hurrying by, <br />When one old man caught his eye. <br /> <br />A proud old man, who walked with a cane. <br />If you looked carefully, he limped with pain, <br />with every step his spindly legs took. <br />His gait was wobbly and his hands shook. <br /> <br />The angel wondered, could anyone see him? <br />People just hurried by. Then, his face grim, <br />He reached out and touched a bold young tough, <br />A swaggering gang member who played it rough. <br /> <br />He didn't feel the angel or catch his eye <br />When another gang member cried, 'Drive by! ' <br />Then he dove under a car. 'Grab the old man! <br />'Use him as a shield.' The young tough ran <br /> <br />to the old man, but he did something strange. <br />He threw his body over the weightless old man <br />and bullets tore into his back in the exchange. <br />and both arm bled into the sand. <br /> <br />His friend gasped, 'What happened! You <br />shielded the old guy, and saved his life, too! <br />Now look. Your back is bloody; both arms just dangle.' <br />He whispered, 'Hey Bro, I just saw an angel!
