Cigarette in one hand, <br />Beer bottle in another <br />The youth of today have nothing got worry about-nothing to bother. <br />They walk with their heads held high, <br />The girls are not at all solemn, <br />Forget bout being shy. <br /> <br />Their morning starts at 11 sharp, <br />They march towards the bar, <br />Not the park. <br />Its their privilege to announce, <br />'We have skipped our studies, <br />Loitering with our buddies.' <br />To have no difference left between us and the animals, <br />We are none better than the African cannibals. <br /> <br />How proudly they smoke in front of their parents, <br />All their shame is gone, <br />Darn they do in their adolescence! <br />They have forgotten their rights; their duties <br />Drinking and smoking are their abilities. <br />Isn't it great to see such young and 'cool' creatures, <br />Smart talks, excellent features! <br /> <br />Thinking about changes, <br />There are variable ranges. <br />But what i recall- <br />Is if we continue to honour our dutiful citizens, <br />It would surely end in a drastic fall.<br /><br />Bishnupriya Mukherjee<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ghetto-minds/
