Something is falling from the air <br />You would think that it is snow <br />But it is grey as well as white <br />It lays now on everything, like a blanket <br />And it has a very strange smell <br />You would think you're in the kitchen, cooking <br />It gets into your food and your drink <br />And suddenly you realise as you eat <br />It's the ashes of men, women, children sacrificed <br />On one mans whim <br />No book, no film can truly portray <br />The full horror of what went on <br />Politicians say it will never happen again <br />But how can they be sure<br /><br />Marilyn Shepperson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ashes-3/
