For what seemed a life time I searched for love. <br />Each corner I turned made me feel hopeless. <br />When I thought my search would never end, <br />I looked into your eyes and there I found it. <br />The thought of loeliness escaped my mind. <br />Dreams thought lost have become fulfilled. <br />Maybe I tried to hide it all from myself. <br />But, then again maybe I never knew it existed. <br />You showed me that I was wrong in what I believed. <br />You lead me to believe inmyself and in us. <br />Each time you tell me you love me, my heart skips a beat. <br />Each time we kiss it feels just likr the first. <br />I know I can tell you anything with trust. <br />Right now what I want to tell you, is that I love you. <br />I know if a sholder is needed, I can cry on yours. <br />I know that we have become bestfriends over time. <br />You gave me a reason for living each day. <br />You gave me the urge to fulfill my dreams. <br />Holding my hand you guided me through life's hard times. <br />You closely held me near, protected me from harm. <br />Laying down beside me you let me know you care. <br />Now a feeling that you'll always be there is at heart.<br /><br />Loretta Rowley<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/your-love-10-21-1998/
