Oh, the month of December has begun! <br />The air is chill and nights are turning cold; <br />And soon, it will be freezing, misty, with snow! <br />The holidays are just around the corner! <br /> <br />And children have already begun dreaming- <br />Of how they ought to spend the Christmas this year; <br />And decorate their christmas-tree and build <br />A mighty snow-man that will instil fear! <br /> <br />And Santa Claus is coming with his sledge, <br />Pulled by reindeers, flying in the night Sky; <br />He is taking a list of the many presents, <br />To get readied before the Christmas day! <br /> <br />The trees are losing all their leaves, look bare; <br />Birds songs are vanishing and seem so rare; <br />The nights are long and chilly all the more, <br />A gorgeous dress, all children will soon wear! <br /> <br />Born was a baby in a manger cold! <br />He brought joy to the world and peace to men! <br />'He would forgive sins, '- the prophets foretold, <br />Redeeming souls and take them to heaven!<br /><br />Dr John Celes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/winter-is-near/
