‘The godown of knowledge <br />increases by distribution’.. <br /> <br />What a lovely picture <br />the sages paint – <br />like a children’s story <br />of magic, of that world <br />that’s truer than you’d think – <br /> <br />A huge warehouse, busy <br />at the unloading bays, <br />with thousands of white-clad, <br />happy faces under the sign, <br />‘Knowledge Godown – Take <br />as Much as you can Manage’, <br />handing out to eager arms, <br />while in the office, email, telephones <br />are busy with the orders for despatch <br />to those in need who’re not so near; <br />and a glance over your shoulder <br />from the work station <br />shows the stock piling ever higher… <br /> <br />a lovely story… except that <br />that is how it is <br />in that world that children <br />just about recall <br />and sages know.<br /><br />Michael Shepherd<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/0025-the-godown-of-knowledge/
