Arise with sun as light shatters
the thin film of darkness.
Claw blindly for the fading fragments
of dream, strain to remember the
face, the place. How can there
be an end, if there is no image of
the start. Half the world rises, as
the other half rests.
And I am thrust into your tired eyes.
Just before you opened them I loved
you like never before.
Whilst you were gone, dreaming of
laying in another mans lap,
I felt the pull inside the knot of my belly.
I was the unborn child knocking on the walls
of his mothers womb.
Hearing the soft vibrations of her voice
drifitng in and out of peace.

Not Long Left

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/holding-on-to-the-last/
