I stand, <br />Balanced on a cliff's edge- <br />The height, strangely, does not bother me. <br />I fall, <br />Endlessly, waiting for the bottom <br />Which doesn't come. <br />Love, life, hope, laughter, joy, peace. <br />Hate, death, despair, silence, sorrow, war. <br />All these, good and evil, <br />Evil and good, <br />Within me, battling. <br />I am alive, <br />Dead. <br />To those who care, <br />I am alive, <br />But to the world, <br />I am dead. <br />I am not <br />Normal, <br />Nor will I ever be. <br />I am myself, <br />Not who they want me to be, <br />Not who they are. <br />I am alone, <br />Bitterly, evilly alone. <br />I am yours, <br />If you will have me. <br />I am individual, <br />Me. <br />I am lost to my world, <br />Though my world itself is lost. <br />I am right, <br />And wrong, <br />Confused. <br />I am a darkness <br />In a world of light. <br />I am a despair <br />In a world of hope. <br />I am all things good, <br />And evil. <br />I am what I am. <br />I am me. <br />Accept it, <br />Reject it, <br />Hate it, <br />Love it, <br />Whatever. <br />That is <br />What I am.<br /><br />James Grengs<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/what-i-am-2/
