A true story from a 9 yr old <br /> <br />I'd made a special card for her and i'd tried really hard <br />I gave it to her when she was there lying in the yard <br />Her car had just been stolen and she'd had to have a drink <br />A drink a drink a drink a drink until she couldn't think <br />I wiped the vomit off her as she gagged noisily <br />I'm sure the neighbours they could hear but at least they couldn't see <br />All that was on my mothers day just three short years ago <br />Then she began to take those drugs and i didn't even know <br />If i would ever see her from day to day to day <br />Then the good lord who is up there chose to take her away. <br />.<br /><br />David Keig<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/mother-s-day-9/
