It has most recently been brought to my attention, <br />that SPOTTED DICK is just a dish in the UK. <br />My first reaction to the name deserves a mention, <br />a spotted one is always reason for a big dismay. <br /> <br />I took the magnifying glass out from the shop <br />and had a thorough look at mine to ascertain <br />that no strange spots were there or starting up <br />to my relief I looked and checked but all in vain. <br /> <br />Now that we have that reassurance in the bag <br />there is a question that remains, it's easy but <br />we surely know that dicks do like to sag <br />but if they have some can they change their spots?<br /><br />Herbert Nehrlich<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/spotted-dick/
