PART 2- <br /> <br />The pain that I carry with me, the truth <br />Really. <br /> <br />I would relive all the pain that I have had <br />along my path, <br />My loyalty would remain <br />Constant despite all my pain. <br />I would see again the killing we <br />have done and the coming of the <br />Waves. <br />All the slaves <br />Who would not take a stand along the <br />ever path, <br />And of the painful stand holding <br />Steadfast my conviction. <br />It all came back in my youth, <br />And they were whispered to me by an <br />Enemy of mine throughout time. <br />Helping, waking, inner truth. <br />With all the shadows of my past and <br />Fresh blood, <br />And the humble spilling of the blood, <br />All around us in the battles endlessly- <br /> <br />Lessons of how I must be <br />With the waking of that truth, <br />in the freshness of my youth. <br /> <br />All of us who have fought live on, <br />Each as a pawn, <br />Some will sadly, asleep stay. <br />It was brought to me by enemy, <br />Invisible to me. <br />I don't know why, but it doesn't matter <br />Anyway <br />Because I see it as kindness <br />The one time my foe showed some nice fresh- <br />ness, <br />Sadly the only time. <br />We were bitter enemies fore- <br />ver. <br />He made it so, <br />Why I probably will never re- <br />Member. <br />He was bitter. <br />And I walked along my chosen, <br />Back and forth, my ever pat, <br />With my own true untold truth. <br />Time has come unknowingly for us <br />With the blood still fresh, <br />From flesh. <br />Time has come, <br />My soul is held forever <br />In the memories of me. <br />Back and forth it walks, <br />Back and forth.<br /><br />Nicholas McDonough<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-chosen-path-part-2-mar-14th-2003/
