It rained all summer <br />and it was fitting <br />because the world <br />mourned the loss of <br />my little boy <br /> <br />the sky was scarred and deaf <br />with lightning and thunder crashing <br />immense winds <br />that howled in pain <br />or rage <br />I'm not asking <br /> <br />there is the man behind <br />the curtain <br />pulling on all of our strings <br />its misery he brings <br />along with <br />stormy weather <br />covering the deep blue sky <br />that once held <br />a promise of life and love <br />spinning it into a lie <br /> <br />angels tears <br />fall from the sky as rain <br />they rejoice <br />for my child <br />who no longer <br />suffers any pain <br /> <br />this is my only respite <br />from melancholy or disdain <br />my shield and protector <br />from going insane <br />I miss you so bad <br />my sweet boy <br />especially when it rains<br /><br />Bryan Alexander<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/for-logan-pt-4-it-rained-all-summer/
