I'm ready to break out of this cloud <br /> I've been under <br />It's been long enough <br />Making people start to wonder <br /> <br />What happened to that girl <br />With her face in the sun? <br />Hiding under a cloud <br />Feeling lost and alone. <br /> <br />It's been a long road <br />These last several years <br />First losing my Dad <br />And I couldn't cry the tears <br /> <br />My mom needed me so much <br />She was sick and I nurtured <br />Til it took me and my girls <br />All we had and it wasn't enough <br /> <br />I watched her battle <br />With her health everyday <br />Strong til the end <br />Laughing all the way <br /> <br />I've faced so many decisions <br />That pulled at my heart <br />That it numbed me almost <br />And pulled me apart <br /> <br />It's been almost a year <br />And the numbness is gone <br />I just miss them both so much <br />Feeling lost and alone <br /> <br />Life can be bittersweet <br />With it's loss and it's pain <br />But the joy of living <br />Will always remain <br /> <br />We must keep our eyes open <br />So our vision is clear <br />And see our way through the clouds <br />With hope, love, and no more tears.<br /><br />Kathleen West<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ready-to-break-out-of-the-clouds/
