For to live a good life he does the best he can <br />The down to earth hard working honourable man <br />To support his wife and children he works hard for his pay <br />And for him at work there is never an easy day, <br />A family man to his higher self true <br />And to people like him only credit is due <br />He looks up to none and on none he looks down <br />An unsung hero the quiet man of the Town <br />He pays his bills on time he doesn't borrow or owe <br />Yet he is a person that few wish to know <br />Since he is not a sports person or a member of any committee <br />And though a local not well known in the locality <br />But he does love his children and he does love his wife <br />And though he never may be famous he does live a good life.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-quiet-man-of-the-town/
