Sitting in the classroom <br />Trying to figure out <br />The difference of being mean and being smart <br /> <br />My teacher says, don't assume <br />Try a different route <br />Don't try and pick the world apart <br /> <br />There are kids in my class <br />That are mean to others <br />I don't think that, that is very nice <br /> <br />I see them being harassed <br />Except my little brother <br />When they see me, they always think twice <br /> <br />The teacher trys hard <br />To be fair to all <br />But sometimes thats not the case <br /> <br />The student may be barred <br />From the classroom to the hall <br />To meet the principal face to face <br /> <br />And when he returns <br />To the class of his peers <br />He would've dug down deep into his heart <br /> <br />There's one thing he learned <br />From the yelling in his ears <br />Is that being mean does'nt make you smart<br /><br />Kevin Seales<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/don-t-be-mean-be-smart/
