A ray of light <br />A sunny day <br />Forget the work <br />It’s time to play <br />Will hold your hand <br />And show you love <br />Must be sent <br />From God above <br />Hear the music <br />Time to dance <br />But won’t wear anything today <br />Except her pink pants <br />Sometimes she cries <br />And Pouts about <br />But that’s ok <br />It’s part of life <br />To have your ups and downs <br />There is something, however that is always true <br />Whenever I’m in somber mood <br />And lacking any gratitude <br />When I see her that goes away <br />She takes my hand and wants to play <br />She gives me kisses on the cheek <br />She wants to dance and tell me things <br />She wants to swing or throw the ball <br />When I tuck her in at night <br />And help her say her prayers <br />I also say a little prayer <br />Of thankful gratitude <br />For the little girl who warms my heart <br />And makes me glad to be alive<br /><br />Daniel Haynes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/olivia-3/
