Take it back. <br />From the past. <br />Everything you have ever done. <br />And not with intent you might have had. <br /> <br />Take it back. <br />From the past. <br />All mistakes from childhood committed, <br />That sticks like glue and makes you sad. <br /> <br />People lie and pretend within their hearts they forgive. <br />Few do with a choosing of this to refuse. <br />And many refusing dare to call themselves 'Christians' too. <br />As they harbor embitterness with a praying done to do. <br /> <br />People try and hide their tears to weep. <br />While staying awake attempting to get sleep. <br />To come to realize those who make claims, <br />They have let time pass them by with a forgetting to forget. <br />But in their minds someone is reminisced to despise... <br />And they will never get over it. <br /> <br />Take it back, <br />All things ever done in your life. <br />Take it back to erase places, people and mistakes. <br />People lie and pretend within their hearts they forgive. <br />Few do but many others will remember every detail, <br />Of what someone else has ever done to them. <br />Yet will not mention at all anything they've done to others. <br />And with their druthers to do what they did to intend. <br /> <br />Take it back. <br />From the past. <br />And begin that perfect journey, <br />Free of blemishes and flaws! <br />And mistakes not to make again.<br /><br />Lawrence S.
