Feeling like a stranger in this place, <br />and home it is to me even though.. <br />No one could tell a detail of my face, <br />and some even told me i should go. <br />I found no welcome or embracing arms, <br />and i felt like i never lived here before. <br />Those shops and that parking for cars, <br />that lane and when did this house has a door? <br />I used to play hide and seek with friends, <br />here in this park among those beautiful trees. <br />That's my old school but our story ends, <br />with the end of the day as we used to chase the bees. <br />Peoples' faces and the way they talk, <br />all are like new things to my eyes and ears. <br />Their hidden looks you feel them stalk, <br />all in you to fill you with fears and tears. <br />We aren't welcome here any more, <br />let's take our things and go away. <br />Not a good memory for our mind to store, <br />and not a good way to end the day. <br />Home as i knew today is, <br />where we find peace and love. <br />Home is a family to be with, <br />and dreams with you fly above. <br />And our wings got broken, <br />like our hearts when we returned. <br />No words were ever spoken, <br />and so our words got burned. <br />Home is a place for real, <br />a place you can touch and true. <br />Home is how i feel, <br />in your arms and with you...<br /><br />Eman Awad<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/home-ii/
