MOONLIGHT SONATA <br /> <br />The flood gates of our full moon have opened <br />wide, <br />Look at those golden beams cascading down! <br />Its magic and mystical light fills the sky, <br />And envelopes the earth without a sound! <br />The night flowers bloom and waft their <br />perfume; <br />Chakor-the night bird, sings its song of <br />yearning, and unrequited love! <br />For the full moon with its Midas touch, <br />Has transformed everything into gold! <br /> <br />Our lips pick-up this wondrous song, <br />As we dance going round and round, <br />Like the Darvish in ecstasy and express, <br />All the joy and exuberance of life, <br />Celebrating His eternal love! <br /> <br />With our passing the song dose not cease; <br />For the tune is picked-up once more, <br />By our children, as we did from our forefathers <br />of yore! <br />And so we continue to sing His praise, <br />For now and for evermore! <br />Praising this God-gifted life, <br />Intoxicated with His eternal love! <br /> <br /> -Raj Nandy <br /> New Delhi <br /> 15 Sep 07 <br />.<br /><br />RAJ NANDY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/moonlight-sonata/
