i admit it- <br />i wanna be hip <br />i've been known <br />to write poems <br />on paper napkins <br />in restaurants <br />when i didn't have <br />a piece of <br />scrap paper handy <br />i've helped <br />start programs <br />worked real hard <br />and got some promotions <br />i hate rudeness <br />in others and people <br />who pretend they're hip <br />by gossiping <br /> <br /> <br />yes, i admit- <br />i wanna be hip <br />i detest cruelty <br />to animals and <br />don't like <br />saying goodbye <br />i have as heroes <br />evan hunter, bob dylan, <br />lawrence ferlinghetti, <br />john irving and <br />kris kristofferson- <br />all real hip dudes <br /> <br /> <br />i do admit it- <br />i wanna be hip <br />i like being called <br />laid-back <br />soft-spoken <br />and a true friend <br />to the people <br />in my life <br />that really matter <br />that's pretty cool <br />just maybe a <br />little bit hip<br /><br />Faith Elizabeth Brigham<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/autobiography-4/
