Into the deep blue sky, <br />so beautiful and peaceful. <br />White, rollin' clouds try, <br />to cover and seem almost nocturnal. <br /> <br />Green pastures full of life, <br />livestock roam and eat. <br />Never knowing the meaning of strife, <br />and the pleasure of completing a feat. <br /> <br />But our species and nature, <br />is to have these trials and tribulations. <br />Nevertheless we are never sure, <br />as most lose concentration. <br /> <br />These things build the human spirit, <br />and make us eternally strong. <br />It's the plan we see fit, <br />whether it's right or wrong. <br /> <br />Happiness, pleasure, pain and sadness, <br />is part of everyone. <br />For many these are endless, <br />and few that choose to run. <br /> <br />But why be afraid? <br />Why not look into the face of fear? <br />There is a person to be made, <br />and a way to make the mind clear. <br /> <br />Look into your greatest fear, <br />and tell yourself you are not scared. <br />Do not dare to shed a tear, <br />or worry about how you fared. <br /> <br />Let your mind go free, <br />and your fears deteriorate. <br />And you will definitely see, <br />the certainty of your fate.<br /><br />Douglas Williams<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/reflections-of-myself/
