The Qur'an let it be, <br /> <br />For all the worlds to see, <br /> <br />The Holy Book, the Kalam of Allah, <br /> <br />A Guide, a Light, shining from afar, <br /> <br />A Jewel, a Gift, a Sacred Treasure, <br /> <br />To hear and recite, an utmost pleasure. <br /> <br />The Qur'an let it remain, <br /> <br />A Healer of pain, <br /> <br />Softener of hearts, opening the eye, <br /> <br />Revealed and received, from the One who is Most High, <br /> <br />Warning and assuring, soothing and striking, <br /> <br />A Book to cheer hearts, submitted to Allah's liking. <br /> <br />The Qur'an let it stay, <br /> <br />To Guide us along the Straight way, <br /> <br />Purifying souls and cleansing them, <br /> <br />Implanting itself inside, from a seed to a stem, <br /> <br />Shooting open its leaves, widening the heart, <br /> <br />Splitting darkness and light, far apart. <br /> <br />The Qur'an let it be forever, <br /> <br />Intelligent, wise and words so clever, <br /> <br />A Gift from the Creator, up Above, <br /> <br />Showing compassion, forgiveness and immeasurable love, <br /> <br />Sustenance of the heart, food for the mind, <br /> <br />In it, perfect satisfaction, our souls shall find<br /><br />Rukhsar Ahmed<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-qur-an/
