Day by day I dream of other ways <br />I wish for the world to smile in peace <br />and solve the answers of world hunger <br />how I vision for a bigger and a brighter day? <br /> <br />Oh happy days are not far from here <br />I dare and challenge the public to be one <br />No more unhappy thoughts to travel far <br />Come shake my hand without any fear. <br /> <br />One by one the war makers removed their guns <br />the good boys all came home from the barracks <br />Left over debris was cleaned from harm’s way <br />And saddened teardrops are now almost none. <br /> <br />Oh happy day when there are no lost shadows <br />The heavenly skies have returned to a brilliant blue <br />Yes there are people in the land who help the hungry <br />No one needs to remain abandoned and left shallow. <br /> <br />How I dream that these thoughts come true one day <br />Time remains on your side and it never stops ticking <br />maybe I will awake from my dreams to a better life <br />now I dream for tomorrow and another happy say.<br /><br />Monica Engeler<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dreams-of-better-days/
