A little bit of compassion lives <br />Within our heart each day, <br />When you decide to perform a kindly deed <br />In a most sincere and honorable way. <br /> <br />Why should we save our kindness <br />For just one special time? <br />A person needs love, caring, and acceptance <br />When their sense of belonging is in a bind. <br /> <br />Extend a helping hand to those in need, <br />And give them hope and comfort this day. <br />Often the things that mean the most <br />Aren't those for which we must pay. <br /> <br />A sense of kindness has not yet faded, <br />Concern for the needy is still in the heart, <br />And will grow stronger throughout the year <br />If we all join together to do our part.<br /><br />Joseph T.
