A day will come near the end of May, <br />I know won't be a lengthy school day, <br />For all the teachers as well as my friends, <br />Will depart early as the academic year ends. <br /> <br />Excited - with smiles so wide and bright, <br />Will eventually disappear from the school site, <br />And I can't help but feel sad, <br />For I'll miss my classmates - good or bad. <br /> <br />Come the end of summer I return once more <br />To the place of learning we all held in store. <br />Forever - grateful and anxious me, <br />I stroll quietly up to the schoolhouse as it use to be.<br /><br />Joseph T.
