She sits in the darkness of the night. <br /> alone.For she knows this was the way, <br /> it was ment to be. <br /> So many pieces of her heart had she, <br /> given away. <br /> There was only a tiny piece left. <br /> the abuse and cruelty she had, <br /> endured.Over the years. <br /> All the tears that had fallen, <br /> from her eyes. <br /> She would hide in the darkness, <br /> so no one could see. <br /> The pain she held inside. <br /> Men she loved only used her, <br /> each time you love someone you, <br /> give a part of your self you can, <br /> never get back.Now in the darkness, <br /> of the night, She wakes from dreams, <br /> of the hurtfull past. <br /> Tears fill her eyes as she shakes with, <br /> fear.Of things that can never be forgotten. <br /> She sits up in bed holding a pillow close, <br /> and tight.She asks God as she wipes the, <br /> tears from her eyes, God you made me, <br /> who i am.And i have survied all things. <br /> And i have forgiven all.But i still cant, <br /> forget.I know i will never have true love, <br /> But it would be nice, If you could send, <br /> me one of your angels from above, <br /> To share the darkness of the night. <br /> I feel much better now for i know <br /> im never really alone.Because you are, <br /> always by my side. <br /> I just wanta be loved like i can give love. <br /> <br /> Written by, <br /> copyright Jackie Kirby9/1/04<br /><br />Jackie Kirby<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/shes-in-darkness/
