And it’s times like these <br />I’m so relieved to release <br />And have finally found peace <br />Even if this doesn’t work out <br />You’ve made me a better person no doubt <br />I wonder if you know what I’m talking about <br />I’ve been running numerous times <br />Instead of TV I’m writing rhymes <br />I believe you’re to blame for these crimes <br />My shoes are loose and untied <br />God has strength and patience supplied <br />And has taken away much selfish pride <br />I don’t know what’s going to come <br />But I know I’ll no longer be a bum <br />And around you act dumb <br />If you and I end up as we <br />Every moment with you I will cherish dearly <br />Because you really mean that much to me <br />And if this is really the end <br />I know I’ve found my best friend <br />I will thank God for whichever he sends <br />I pray we both keep open our minds and eyes <br />Because you never know when God will supply a surprise <br />But now to my feet I will rise <br />There’s nothing left to say <br />I continue to hope and pray <br />That you’ll come back one day<br /><br />Andrew Jones<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/amazed-2/
