Everything keeps crumbling down. <br />The riverbanks can’t hold the encroaching everlasting summer. <br /> <br />It’s a slight rise. <br />And a hard fall. <br />A step backwards. A place unknown. <br /> <br />They didn’t get it right the first time. <br />The experiment failed. <br />Evolutionary disorders of the mind. <br /> <br />I did try. <br />Not hard enough, according to you. <br />But your blinkers obscure your rites of passage. <br /> <br />I’m waiting. For that moment. <br />That one that passes you by. <br />That one that induces: <br />Nostalgia. Regret.
