In lost caves of forgotten mountains, <br />happiness softly hibernates. <br />It lay in its seasonal slumber waiting, <br />like a sleeping giant ready to awake. <br />Within these dark corners and solid walls, <br />everyone remains timid with fear. <br />Only the beckoning rays of tomorrows hope, <br />will relinquish such haste and distain. <br />There is a light that comes from deep places. <br />With this light brings comfort, joy and contentment. <br />Some eyes will miss this light, <br />continuing to aimlessly drift further asleep, unannounced. <br />It is in this time when this light appears low, <br />happiness will awake and smile. <br />The fog will clear and give way to hope, <br />if this is what you want the light to bring. <br />It is what was meant to be in these long days, <br />that all will suffer the loss of happiness. <br />No light to be found, not by the moon or the sun, <br />the stars above or the swelling of hearts. <br />No hope, no shame, no love, no gain, <br />and all watch as the seasons go by. <br />It is in the caves of lost mountains, <br />happiness softly hibernates.<br /><br />Gulliver Gimble<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/happiness-hides/
