The muse of fire <br />came from the bush that, burning <br />hot, <br />had startled him, while turning <br />to inquire <br />what <br />induced the flame <br />to burn without consuming. <br />“How odd, ” <br />he thought, without assuming <br />it was the Name <br />of God. <br /> <br />A voice declared: <br />“I am, indeed, I am, <br />and you, <br />a shepherd of the lamb, <br />must be prepared, <br />to do <br />My bidding, you <br />must teach the world My law.” <br />He could, <br />explaining what he saw, <br />his point of view, <br />and would. <br /> <br />The bush he saw, <br />the muse within the flame <br />that spoke, <br />revealed to him the Name, <br />and he in awe <br />awoke. <br /> <br />7/16/98<br /><br />gershon hepner<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/muse-of-fire/
