We had an appointment with death
But death missed the mark
With white stripes on the road
That shimmered in the dark.

But once the brakes were hit
The white stripe became metal
That made the car shake and rock
And finally unsettle

And in a vortex the vehicle
Became the plaything of fate
With us spinning in a circle
And for the final verdict wait

And finally hit a cement wall
Like our future rammed into it
Beyond that wall death waited
To invite some or all in a web well knit

But a battalion of angels
Put an angelic airbag to the hood
And an air bubble within the square frame
When screaming sounds in their circle stood

There comes a night
When the lights are dimmed
And the chances are little
And the choices are trimmed

Only a known hand but unseen
Can draw a different picture from what could've been
For the grey colors that surrounded us
Were turned by a miracle for us to green

Ragy Sandid

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/car-crash-2/
